Serving homeowners throughout Central Pennsylvania. Complete home transformations are executed with the same process and the same team we use to build custom homes from the ground up.
Some homes need more than one updated room. They need to be completely reimagined.
Complete home transformations for homeowners throughout Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, Hershey, Carlisle, Camp Hill, and Dillsburg. Every project is managed as a single coordinated effort from the first design meeting to the final walk-through.

We've built custom homes across Central Pennsylvania for 50 years. A whole-house remodel is as close as you get to that experience in an existing structure. We bring the same team, the same standards, and the same process.

Every room is designed and built under a single contract, managed by a single team, and tracked in Buildertrend. No coordinating between a designer, a general contractor, and a dozen separate trades on your own.

Whole-house renovations fail when rooms are designed independently. We design every space as part of a single cohesive vision. Materials, finishes, and architectural details connect rooms to one another.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." — 2 Corinthians 5:17
God is in the business of transformation. Not surface-level change — complete renewal. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to when we take on a whole-house remodel. When you trust us with your entire home, we don’t approach it room by room. We approach it as a single vision, a complete work, something that reflects who you are and how you want to live. That kind of transformation deserves to be done with intention. That’s exactly how we do it.
Whole-house remodel costs in Mechanicsburg and throughout Central Pennsylvania vary significantly based on the size of the home, the scope of changes, the structural conditions encountered, and the level of finishes selected. A comprehensive renovation of a typical-sized home in this market is a substantial investment, often comparable in scope to the cost of new construction. Roland Builder provides a detailed proposal tailored to your home and scope before any work begins. Unlike estimates that grow through change orders, our proposals are based on accurate design drawings and documented selections.
Whether a whole-house remodel or new construction makes more sense depends on four factors: the quality and condition of the existing structure, the lot’s location and value, the cost difference between the two options, and the homeowner’s attachment to the existing home. For homes with good bones in desirable Central Pennsylvania locations, a comprehensive remodel often delivers more value than selling and rebuilding. Roland Builder builds custom homes from the ground up and handles whole-house remodels, so we are one of the few contractors in this market who can have that conversation honestly, with direct experience on both sides.
A whole-house remodel typically includes kitchen and bathroom renovations throughout, updated flooring and trim in every room, new lighting throughout, mechanical updates such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical as needed, and exterior work such as siding, windows, doors, and roofing where required. Some whole-house remodels also include reconfiguring the layout, adding space, or making structural changes. Roland Builder designs the scope with you based on your home’s needs and what you want to accomplish, then manages every part of the project under a single contract.
Living in a home during a comprehensive whole-house remodel is generally not recommended, particularly in the early phases when structural, mechanical, and rough construction work is underway. Most homeowners plan to relocate temporarily for the duration of the project. Roland Builder discusses this upfront during the planning phase so you can make arrangements well in advance. For projects phased by home section, partial occupancy may be possible during later construction phases, and we will advise on that once the scope and schedule are defined.
